Project Scientist

Research Emphasis

I am a project scientist in the Palsson lab. Before coming to this lab I was a research scientist at deCODE Genetics in Reykjavik, Iceland. Previous to that, I spent my Ph.D. years in the bioinformatics group at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

My postdoctoral work has focused on algorithmic methods for reconstructing transcriptional regulatory networks, the systems properties of integrated transcriptional regulatory and metabolic networks, and trying to discern what the topology of metabolic networks implies about their regulation. I am also interested in the engineering applications of in silico reconstructed organisms and their use for multicellular modeling.
